Customer Review: Good lens for money
I’m happy with this lens but some practice is recommended. It takes some time and experimenting to get used to little slow AF. I took pictures on Formula 1 race and some pictures came out blurry. But this is not pro-type lens and for the money you pay for it it’s really good. Use tripod if possible - IS is effective only to the certain degree.

Customer Review: One of the BEST!
I know that this is a great camera. What don’t work for others, works well for some. The battery life is good. Instead of me being cheap I keep xtra batteries. Anything that’s battery operated will eventually die out, so buy xtra. The images are fantastic, the features are second to none, and the price is just right for what you’re getting in this camera. There will always be people who will find a problem with something
and end up disappointed, but you get what you pay for. GREAT CAMERA!

Customer Review: What a disappointment
I read the reviews about poor, grainy picture quality-they all sounded like they came from more experienced photographers so I figured an amateur like myself would never notice. WRONG! We bought this camera because our old Sony wasn’t taking pictures like it used to after being abused by our two young boys for 5 years-even after all that, our old Sony takes better pics at the lowest resolution (under 1 megapixel)in bad lighting than the Olympus at the highest megapixel (10.1) in good lighting. We tried everything and couldnt get a picture that wasn’t grainy, at best. Also, DON’T EVEN TRY to take pics at a sporting event-the shutter speed and reset is so slow that I took a picture of my 5 year old son getting handed the football at the 20 yard line and it didn’t reset until after he was done celebrating in the end zone. At his Kindergarden graduation he had to walk 100 feet to the podium…I could only take one shot it was SO SLOW. Definitely a DO NOT BUY…a terrible shame considering how cool the Shockproof, Waterproof features are.

Customer Review: Pretty great for what you’re buying it for
You buy this camera for what it is designed for, to take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’. And that’s just what it does. Outdoor shots are fantastic, I take video alot and it is ok, but the sound is really quiet (probably because they had to waterproof the microphone). I’ve really put this thing through it’s paces though at Lake Powell, Mexico, a family trip to California, and a week at a Boy Scout Camp. All those with it usually in my back pocket. That is what I love about it, I get a lot of fun pictures that I didn’t with my other cameras because you wouldn’t have thought to take a digital camera with you out on a tipsy Sea Kayak for example.
