Customer Review: Got some great dive pics
This is the third digital camera housing that I have purchased. I had previously used camera housings for 2 Cannon cameras I had. After using this housing for a week in the Mayan Riviera Mexico I would have to say it performed just as well if not better than the Cannon housings I used previously. The smaller number of buttons compared to my Cannon housings made using the camera underwater a bit easier than the Cannons, it however does limit your options a bit by only giving you 3 buttons to use. I was never able to figure out how to browse through the pics I had taken while it was in “Housing mode” but that was really the only thing that seamed to grab my attention. It may be a case of me not reading the directions enough to see how to do that.

I love the point an shoot cameras made by Sony mainly because of the Professional Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, that makes a huge difference when you compare this camera to a similar price camera from another manufacturer, in my opinion the picture quality of this camera is far superior then HP, Canon, Olympus, or Nikon.

Customer Review: Pretty and small but a few flaws
I “upgraded” to this camera from my previous DSC-N1. I have always had Sony cameras and I love them in general. They take beautiful pictures, are easy to use and I’ve had very few problems with them. This is my fourth. I take A LOT of pictures. My kids consider me their personal paparazzi, so I do give my cameras a workout. I was swayed into getting this camera because I liked the way it looked, but there are a few things about it I find disappointing. I have a Sony Vaio computer and in the past, I have always just popped my memory stick (with the adapter for the duo) into my computer to transfer the pictures. That way I don’t have to mess with cables since I am using a laptop. This camera has 4 GB of internal memory, which is a great feature. However, you can’t choose to save to the memory stick pro duo instead. The camera will only allow you to use that when the internal memory is full. That is a huge disappointment for me. Unless you fill the internal memory and keep it full all the time, you can’t use the memory stick. Also, the position of the lens is very close to the top of the camera. This means when some people use it (doesn’t usually happen to me), they put their finger right over it. So I end up with lots of pictures with fingers over the people. I think it is because the camera is so small, it is hard to get a good grip on it. My last complaint is the button for viewing the pictures. I think it is awkward and hard to press. All in all, very nice camera. But there are definite improvements to be made.

This is a great camera for someone looking for something very small and portable. The screen is very large (and touch-screen) so all the options you need to change are right there. It also has a “simple-shoot” mode so you don’t get confused with all the options.

Customer Review: does not hold charge as long as the original battery
This was the battery size that fit my model of Sony Cybershot DSCP8 camera. However, this replacement does not hold the charge as long as the original battery that came with the camera when it was new. I don’t know if perhaps this is due to the battery or perhaps something with my camera (which is 7 years old at this point, but still works great!) However, the old battery doesn’t hold any charge after fairly constant use for 6 years, so at least the new battery is a better option for me right now than buying a whole new camera.
Customer Review: Relieved after reciept and install
Obviously, the DSCP10 camera (which I own) requires the Sony NPFC11 battery. After reading other reviews (regarding the battery), I became very skeptical of if my camera would ever properly perform again. I had no choice but to purchase this battery in order for my camera to ever function again. I browsed through many web-sites claiming to sell the battery at a very low price (some as low as $20); however, I choose to “bite the bullet” and pay the higher price ($40 through Amazon) and be assured that the new battery was genuine. After the new battery was recieved (package contained the Sony tamper-proof seal), installed, and charged, the camera immediately performed like new. (Throughout this entire ordeal, I constantly had to consider the purchase of a new camera). What a relief. Very satisfied.
