The Olympus Zuiko 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 Digital ED SWD is very fast and renders beautiful image quality, sharp throughout the entire image and with minimum distortion and vignetting. Together with E3 this telezoom is very versatile, the fast f-stop and the image stabilizer reduces dramatically the need for carrying a tripod. The focus mechanism is nice, lightning fast and quiet. Build quality seems excellent (although I have not yet tested its splash proofing) Highly recommended!

After 55 years of praticing photography, my photographs are now an order of magnitude beter since buying this lens. (8 contest awards in the last two months) Nothing else comes close. If you don’t have a camera that will take this lens get one! You will thank me later.

I’m sure you have read the other reviews of this lens and I must agree. This is one of the most spectacular lenses of the Olympus line that I have owned. Every manufacturer gets that perfect combination once in a while and produces magic. Like the Olympus Zuiko 90mm F2 and the 35-105mm 3.5 zoom of the Om days, this is pure genius. Tack sharp, quick to focus, and amazing bokeh!! If you love macro and portrait photography get this lens. Your only regret will be that you have waited this long.
